Walking the Path to Yule ~ Day 6

Day 6

This is not the original post that was intended for tonight. However, it is one that moves to lift us all into the loving and tender arms that we long for. It is the grace to help carry us in our time of need as we walk our path on the winding road.

In the silent stillness of the night, I offer my gratitude. It has been a long and trying few days. However, tonight I was reminded that there is a gift that can transcend all time and space. That kind and special gift is the gift of Love.

This has been a difficult year that held so many tests that each one of us were called to endure. Somehow, someway, we made our trek through darkness and fear. Step by step, we chose to continue this wildly ever-changing road. And as we move to attempt to understand what it is that we seek, we can find ourselves tired, confused, and terribly frightened. Yet, that still, small voice calls us. That smoldering ember lights and guides our way. And if we are so fortunate to receive the message that hope is alive and well, breathing life into our tired and achy bodies, that hope can carry us into the arms of the unconditional love that sustains us. Grace can be found in the vulnerable moments when we fear that all hope is lost. Then, by the grace of the gods, we receive that salvation, the soothing balm to aid us in all of our tender parts as we walk towards the miracle and rebirth of Light. That road can feel lonely. Often, there are times that it is. But for that one brief moment, that one chance connection, we can receive that grace we didn’t even know we were looking for and we are welcomed back home.

May you find and receive that grace. May the embers that glow lead you home, into the arms of love and salvation. I thank you for your light and glowing embers. For they too, lead me home.

With love and gratitude,
